Wine-drinking comedy SIDEWAYS stunned Hollywood last night (05FEB05) when it claimed the big prize at the 11th annual Screen Actors Guild AWARDS.

The film's stars, Virginia Madsen, Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church, were overlooked in their individual categories but took to the stage at the Shrine Auditorium with co-star Sandra Oh to pick up the Outstanding Ensemble in a Motion Picture award.

Meanwhile, in a very spread prizegiving, boxing movie Million Dollar Baby and hit TV show Desperate Housewives were the only double winners.
