London band Scoundrels, now signed to Sire Records Founders Seymour Stein and Richard Gottehrer recently revived Blue Horizon imprint, have completed their debut album (released in May) and are set to release their debut single 'The Sniff It Up EP'.
To celebrate this we have a special video of the band recording 'Mary Joe' at Riflemaker Analog Studios in Soho, London. The studio is a replica of the world famous '1950's Sun Studios' - known as 'The Birthplace of Rock N' Roll' built up from equipment gathered by Lewis Durham (of Kitty Daisy and Lewis). Scoundrels booked a 30 minute recording session and had only one shot at performing the track direct to 10" vinyl.
Scoundrel spent most of 2010 recording their debut album with legendary producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Pixies, The Stooges).
Scoundrels are George Elliot, Alex 'Billy' Hill, Joshua Martens and Ned Wyndham.
