Scotty Mccreery is thrilled to be supporting country star Brad Paisley on his 2012 nationwide tour, although the American Idol champ admits he is wary of Brad's reputation for practical jokes.
Speaking to Billboard.com ahead of his performance at Wednesday's Cma Awards, Scotty explained, "I've got to keep my eyes open, 'cause (Paisley) is a huge practical joker.I have to make sure I don't get pranked too bad". It seems attack is the singer's best form of defense though, adding, "I've got a couple in my back pocket.I've got to think of something good, cause he's very unique with his". MCCreery and The Band Perry join Paisley for the tour starting on January 12th 2012 in Grand Rapids, Michigan before moving to Denver, Las Vegas, Baltimore and Knoxville and ending in Lexington on March 3rd. The 18-year-old predicts his first real tour is "going to be incredible", adding, "I've grown up listening to Brad, loving his music. I can probably sing every single one of the words to his songs. It's gonna be fun, and a learning experience for me. It's gonna be a great time".
Scotty's debut album 'Clear As Day' topped the Billboard 200 in early October, making him the youngest male artist ever to top the charts. His first single 'I Love You This Big' entered the Top 15 of both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Country Songs Chart.
