Sixties singing legend Scott Walker has rubbished the long-established myth he suffered a nervous breakdown during the height of his fame. It was presumed The WALKER BROTHERS star retreated to a monastery on England's Isle of Wight during the 1960s because he was struggling to cope with the band's success. But the 63 year old insists he had ulterior motives: "It's true I went. But not for that reason. I went to learn Gregorian chants."
