Embattled producer Scott Storch is hoping to rebuild his shattered career by working with another disgraced big name - Chris Brown.
The hip-hop hitmaker, who produced Brown's hit Run It!, had to fight to get back in the studio with the R&B star after falling from grace following a drug scancal last year (08).
Storch signed up for a stint in rehab earlier this year (Apr09) after blowing $30 million (£20 million) on cocaine.
Storch filed for bankruptcy one month later (May09) and has been struggling to rebuild his Tuff Jew Productions company ever since.
He got a break over the summer (09) when he landed work with Brown - but his manager Derek Jackson admits he had to convince the singer's team to give Storch a second chance.
Jackson tells Details magazine, "I had to beg Chris' manager, but the s**t is strong."
Storch acknowledges he's facing an uphill struggle to re-establish himself as a credible producer, but is confident he will soon regain his status as one of the go-to hitmakers in the music industry.
He says, "I've got to prove myself to the people who write cheques. (But) people will see that everything is intact."
Brown is attempting to rebuild his career following his conviction for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna in February (09).
He began a six-month community service punishment last week (ends18Sep09).
