Mel Gibson and his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have been given an extension until November 1st to conclude their custody arrangement.
The Hollywood actor's lawyers have reportedly asked for more time to work on the details of a settlement agreement between the pair - who split up in June 2010 - which was made in August and was due to go before the family court judge tomorrow (18.10.11) for final approval.
According to gossip website TMZ.com, there is still a disagreement as to how the final settlement - which states the couple will share equal custody of their 23-month-old daughter Lucia, with the Hollywood actor paying the Russian-born singer $750,000 - is worded.

Oksana Grigorieva has filed an appeal asking that Mel Gibson's lawyers be removed from their custody case as she has previously consulted with the law firm.
The Russian singer - who has a 20-month-old daughter Lucia with the troubled star - met with Ronald Anteau a partner in his attorney's firm Kolodny and Anteau in 2008 at Mel's suggestion when she was dealing with custody issues regarding her son Alexander, with actor Timothy Dalton and believes that meeting is pertinent to her ongoing dispute with the 'Braveheart' star.
Her filing said: "The matters discussed with Mr. Anteau concerned the same subject matter that has been inquired into in the present case by Stephen Kolodny [Mel's lawyer] both in open court and at deposition."

Oksana Grigorieva has dropped her domestic violence claim against former partner Mel Gibson.
In a shock announcement, the Russian singer's lawyer told Judge Scott Gordon she will no longer be pursuing the claim against her former partner and father of her 18-month old daughter, Lucia.
The claims related to arguments between the couple that happened when they were still together in January 2010.

Mel Gibson has been ordered by a judge to pay $60,000 to Oksana Grigorieva, the mother of his 12-month-old daughter Lucia in unpaid child support.
The 'Braveheart' star and his former lover appeared in court together yesterday (11.11.10) for the first time in their custody battle over their 12-month-old daughter Lucia.
Mel had refused to pay his court-ordered $20,000 monthly child support until Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon ruled on whether he could charge rent for the Los Angeles home he owns, where his former lover and their child currently reside.

Oksana Grigorieva is to have her child support payments from Mel Gibson increased from $5,000 to $20,000 per month.
The Russian singer - who split from the actor amid claims he attacked her while the couple's 11-month-old daughter Lucia was in her arms - will now receive a total of $20,000 per month in child support payments from the 54-year-old star.
According to gossip website TMZ, Judge Scott Gordon - who is presiding over the couple's custody battle - issued an order yesterday (30.09.10) afternoon to raise Mel's maintenance payments.

The Russian singer - who is currently engaged in a custody battle with her former partner over their 10-month-old daughter Lucia - is allegedly seeking $84,000 from the 'Braveheart' actor to pay for services she needed to turn around the public perception she released secret tapes of arguments between the pair.

Oksana Grigorieva has reportedly asked a judge to increase her child support payments from ex-lover Mel Gibson from $5,000 to $40,000 a month.
The Russian singer - who has accused her ex-lover of domestic abuse - is said to have asked a judge to increase the monthly payment from $5,000 to $40,000 to help look after their 10-month-old Lucia.
As well as paying for Lucia, Mel also pays for the luxury Los Angeles home where Oksana lives with her daughter and her 13-year-old son Alexander and sources close to the actor are furious she is demanding more.
