A man who hacked the cell phone of Scarlett Johansson and leaked nude pictures of the Hollywood star across the internet, has been caught and arrested. The Fbi is yet to release the name of the culprit, but details are expected at an arranged press conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday (12th October 2011).
It is thought the individual is connected to the spate of celebrity phone hackings that first began in 2010, with X-rated photos, texts and emails being compromised. Johansson, who had nude photos leaked earlier this year, was perhaps the most high profile victim but there were several others. Disney star Vanessa Hudgens was left red faced, while Mila Kunus, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Emma Caulfied also had their phones hacked. Johansson, who quickly informed the Fbi, told CNN, "Just because you're an actor or make films or whatever, doesn't mean you're not entitled to your own personal privacy. It just feels unjust. It feels wrong". Following the actress' complaint, police dubbed the investigation 'Operation Hackerazzi'
The unidentified culprit lives in the Florida area but will be charged in a Californian court - authorities believe he acted alone.
