Producers of Scarlett Johansson's new movie Lucy have denied reports they are to scrap shooting in Taiwan.
Local media reported on Monday (28Oct13) that director Luc Besson was ready to cut short filming in Taipei after several run-ins with photographers following the cast's arrival in the city.
Johansson was reportedly left frightened after a snapper punched through the window of a car she was travelling in, and Besson is said to have been angered by pictures of The Avengers star in costume.
The film's crew also narrowly avoided a road accident with another vehicle over the weekend (26-27Oct13), prompting the quit rumour, but the planned filming is going ahead.
Christophe Lambert, Ceo of French film company EuropaCorp, which is producing Lucy, tells Variety, "The filming of Lucy in Taipei is going forward as planned and will wrap next Monday (04Nov13)."
