Sarah Palin will co-host the Today show this week, according to NBC.com. The network released a statement on their website promising that Palin would "reveal a different side of her than you've seen before" when she goes in-front of the cameras on Tuesday (April 3, 2012).
The former vice-presidential candidate, who was the recent subject of HBO movie Game Change, phoned into the show on Monday to discuss her upcoming appearance. She revealed she'd be talking about topics beyond politics but that the subject would inevitably turn towards it anyway. Palin thanked the network in advance, saying, "I appreciate Nbc's boldness in having me on". The announcement comes in the same week that former Today show host Katie Couric will sit in for Robin Roberts as co-host of Good Morning America. Big names scheduled to appear on the Today show this week include Style Network reality couple Giuliana Rancic and husband Bill, the 'Octomom' Nadya Suleman (who reportedly posed nude to pay the rent bills), Kim Kardashian and the Duggar family from '19 Kids and Counting'. Nicki Minaj, who releases her second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on Tuesday (March 3, 2012), will perform live on the show this Friday.
Palin starred in her own reality show Sarah Palin's Alaska on TLC, but the show was not renewed for a second season.
