Conan O'Brien took to the Internet Thursday to respond to several Web postings that noted that his recent "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" spoof on TBS, in which Sarah Palin is seen shooting Rudolph, was similar to one produced on ABC rival Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show two weeks earlier. In a tongue-in-cheek message, Conan apologized to Kimmel for the similar segments. "The staff member responsible for the piece has been fired and I hear was immediately rehired at Jimmy Kimmel, so I think everything worked out," he said in the video posted on his website. (His remarks were an apparent reference to the recent firings of talk-show personalities who were immediately hired by rival networks.) "I looked into it some more," O'Brien added. "It turns out that the robo-rabbi that's been featured on our show the last couple days was once on Jack Paar. I think it was in 1962. He killed!"
