Sarah Michelle Gellar has revealed the identity of the stylist responsible for her eye-catching dress at the Golden Globes awards ceremony last Sunday (January 15, 2012). Rather than opting for a fashion stylist, as many celebrities do when it comes to red carpet events, Sarah Michelle Gellar instead turned to her two year-old daughter, Charlotte. Charlotte chose the blue and white floor length gown for her vampire-slaying mummy - an outfit described by The Daily Mail as having "too much going on." The report also says that Charlotte chose her accessories. The dress was designed by Monique Lhuillier.
Gellar presented the award for Best Supporting Actor in a TV series, miniseries or TV movie, along with fellow actress Piper Perabo. The award was given to Peter Dinklage for his role in Game of Thrones. Sarah Gellar's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr won the 'Mr. Golden Globe' award in 1996 but spent the evening babysitting Charlotte on Sunday. Gellar joked that 'babysitting' probably entailed watching an American football match. That would most likely be the New York Giants match that had fellow award presenter Ashton Kutcher asking the score on his Twitter feed during the ceremony.
Since last year, Gellar has been appearing in the TV series Ringer, playing the role of twin sisters Bridget Kelly and Siobhan Martin. She herself was also nominated for a Golden Globe in 2001, for her role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
