Much like a school reunion, people will go, even if they don't really want to.
Just when everyone was getting used to writing 2014 instead of 2013, Sarah Jessica Parker sent us all back to 2010 by hinting at a possible Sex and the City reunion. Yes, another one. It’s no more than a rumor at this point, but this is what Parker told InStyle (via the Huff Post) about a possible “Sex and the City: The Twilight Years” project.
Parker's still got it though.
"A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell," Parker told the magazine. "But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!"
A muumuu, Wikipedia tells us, is a “loose dress of Hawaiian origin,” which frankly looks very comfortable. But then who are we to argue with Carrie Bradshaw herself on matters of style. It may have taken the woman six seasons and two increasingly unwatchable films to get together with the man she met in season one, but her shoe collection was undeniably impressive. Parker's "Sex" co-star, Kristen Davis also commented on the possibility of a third film back in December.
Davis is also on board.
Davis told Haute Living “I don’t think [a third film] is a pipe dream, there is discussion. People talk about it amongst the people who are the players, but I don’t know if it will come together. It would be very exciting if it did.” Exciting isn’t really the word most people would use, but of course, any self-respecting “90s kid” is expected to see the thing, if it ever makes it to theaters. It’s practically mandatory.
There may be yet another reunion in the future.
