Sarah Jessica Parker was so nervous filming her latest comedy I Don'T Know How She Does It, she broke down "sobbing and apologising" to the director.
The actress admits she was terrified to take on the lead role of Kate Reddy, a busy mum who struggles to balance family life with her workload - and she ended up grovelling to director Douglas MCGrath.
She tells Vogue magazine, "I lose my appetite (when nervous). By Wednesday of the first week on I Don't Know How She Does It, I was sobbing. I was apologising. I was feeling so awful and ashamed, like I had let the director down... I'm like that two weeks into every movie. But the beauty of nerves is that you can always find a comrade in it."
And the Sex and the City star was relieved to find her co-star Pierce Brosnan was just as anxious as she was.
She adds, "(Brosnan) was a nervous wreck! Of course, by then I was really relaxed, but I was so comforted by it."
