Sarah Ferguson is convinced her late pal Diana, Princess Of Wales would have been "best friends" with her son Prince William's wife Catherine, because the tragic royal always wanted a daughter.
The Duchess of York was not invited to the royal wedding in April (11) but has nothing but praise for the bride, the newly-titled Duchess of Cambridge.
And Ferguson has no doubt the prince's mother would have been immensely proud of his choice of royal wife, and insists Diana would have looked upon her daughter-in-law as one of her own.
She tells CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, "They would have been best friends, she would have been delighted because she got her daughter. She always wanted to have a little girl, and to share clothes and things, and she would have had her daughter-in-law.
"I take my hat off to her (Catherine), she's so serene. She floats like a swan. I'm a great fan. I think she's able to cope (with the pressure). She has a very good family, I don't know any of them, but they all look so together and solid. And she knows, because they've been dating nine years... I think she's doing brilliantly. And I think that she so loves him."
