Embattled former royal Sarah Ferguson is convinced she's a model mum - because she has made so many mistakes that her two daughters can learn from.
In a taped TV chat with Oprah Winfrey, which aired in America on Tuesday (01Jun10), the Duchess of York spoke out about her latest embarrassment after offering a bogus businessman an audience with her ex-husband Prince Andrew in return for cash.
The businessman was an undercover reporter and the deal was caught on camera and posted on British tabloid the News of the World's website last month (May10).
It's the latest in a long line of embarrassments for Fergie, but she told Winfrey her daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice, still love her - and forgive her.
Fergie, who claims she was desperate for money and had been drinking when the deal was done, said, "I've called my girls and they said... 'We're here 100 per cent for you and we love you'. I said, 'I'm so glad that through my mistakes you'll never do all of this - so I have been a great mother to you girls.'"
The ex-royal accepts this mistake is one that will "almost never be forgotten".
As part of her chat with Oprah, which was filmed on Friday (28May10), Ferguson watched extended clips from the video footage posted online for the first time.
