Samantha Barks is ''very excited'' about attending the Academy Awards later this month.
Samantha Barks ''can't believe'' she is going to the Oscars.
The 'Les Miserables' star is astonished by how much her life has changed since she landed the role of Eponine in the blockbuster musical and is ''very excited'' about attending the prestigious Academy Awards in Los Angeles later this month.
She said: ''I'm very excited about it, and I can't believe, I'm going to be going to the Oscars.
''This time last year, if anyone had said that to me, that I'd be going, I wouldn't have believed them. I just wouldn't have believed them so I feel very, very excited about the whole thing.''
Since starring in the movie, Samantha has found she gets recognised wherever she goes, and though she is finding it difficult to adjust to, she is enjoying the attention.
She added to Absolute Radio: ''It's very new. It's unusual because I'm thinking, you know, sometimes someone will be like looking over and I'll be like, 'Hi', and they'll be like, 'You were in 'Les Mis'.' And I'm like 'Oh wow, that's cool!' ''It's something to get used to, definitely but I'm just so happy that people have received the film so positively.''
