Sam Worthington's girlfriend has asked him to stop playing ''psychos'' and take on more light-hearted roles.
Sam Worthington's girlfriend wants him to star in a comedy.
The 'Clash of the Titans' actor - who plays Perseus in the epic adventure remake - admits stylist Natalie Mark is tired of him bringing his work home with him and has begged him to take on a lighter role to improve their home life.
He said: "My girlfriend keeps telling me I should do a comedy for a change, or something romantic, not just those psycho roles. Perseus is an angry teenager on a personal vendetta."
The 33-year-old star also blasted actors who seek out fame - though he admitted he doesn't mind being recognised.
He added to website Skip.at: "I lead a normal life, I just have an extraordinary job. You don't get a job in the film industry to become famous. If you want to become famous you should go on 'Big Brother' or take part in a casting show.
"A few years ago someone told me, if you want to stand out you should occupy every VIP area, constantly have an entourage with you and wear sunglasses at night. Or you just go to a pub and maybe someone will come up to you and say 'Hey, I watched your new film and I loved it.' Or they'll say 'Your film was c**p.'
"If an actor says he doesn't want to be recognised and acknowledged for his work he's lying. But being famous and all that stuff, I don't need that."
