Seth Macfarlane Mark Wahlberg Amanda Seyfried Liam Neeson Morgan Freeman Sam Jones

Now definitely one of the world's favourite teddy bears, Ted is back for another round of crude jokes, raucous partying and a whole load of trouble with his best friend John in Seth Macfarlane's highly anticipated sequel 'Ted 2'.

Mark Wahlberg and Ted in Ted 2
The dubious duo are back with more hijinks

We never thought it would happen but Ted has finally tied the knot to his busty blonde long time girlfriend Tami-Lynn, in a wonderful ceremony surrounded by friends and locals who are, by now, totally unperturbed about having a talking bear living amongst them. Ted wants to go that step further, however, and bring up a child of his own; the only problem is he needs a donor because... well, he's a bear.

Ted Review

Very Good
Plying his trade in pop culture references and surprising punchlines, MacFarlane jumps the adult-oriented comedy bandwagon with a film that's smarter and funnier than most. It also has a surprisingly warm and serious thematic undercurrent.

After a childhood wish brought his teddy bear to life, John (Wahlberg) has become inseparable with his buddy Ted (voiced by Macfarlane). But John's girlfriend Lori (Kunis) is starting to think that a 35-year-old man and his fluffy pal should stop living like stoner-slackers. Worried about the foul-mouthed, womanising Ted's influence, she encourages John to make his own way in life, so they can be a proper couple. But separating Ted and John is more difficult than it looks.

I Am Trying To Break Your Heart Review

Good
Not much of a surprise. This documentary, which traces the folkish band Wilco as they put together their album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, is short on insight and long on The Usual -- "There's a lot of collaboration..." Zzzzzz. Black and white photography is meant to look artsy but comes off as pretentious (though it's very effective at helping to hide the fact that it's shot on video). Even when the band threatens to break up and has to switch to a new label, it's hard to feel much of the pain, as the film engages in the same old outright hero worship of its forebears Bittersweet Motel and Barenaked in America. You know the band will come out on top (YHF was widely, critically heralded as the best album of the year) but you'll wade through 90 minutes of concert footage (fine) and contract signings (dull) to get there.
