Salma Hayek loves to talk about her age in interviews because it serves as a constant reminder of how wrong one Hollywood casting agent was when he told the Mexican star she would no longer be working in her late 30s.

The 48 year old has five films coming out in 2015 and she's more than happy being a Latin role model for gorgeous women in their 40s.

But she admits there is a lot of pressure on women who want to succeed in a man's world.

The Frida star tells Britain's The Guardian, "It's crazy, you have to be much better than your male colleagues, just so you can maybe try and get the same salary as them. And you still have to be a good wife, a mother.

"And now you have to be skinny, and you have to look 20 when you're 40. It's too much. We need to stop with the crazy expectations, give ourselves a break."
