Newlyweds Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher were quizzed by Britain's border police after their American nanny entered the U.K. illegally.
The pair was returning to the funnyman's native Britain from Paris, France with their nanny Ruth Pfenning following their secret wedding in the French capital last month (Mar10) when officials from the U.K. Border Agency held Pfenning for trying to enter the country without the correct documents.
The trio was quizzed by officials before Pfenning was deported to America, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
A representative for the Agency tells the publication, "We have strict rules in place to protect Britain's border. Those seeking to enter the U.K. for the purpose of employment must demonstrate that they hold the correct documentation.
"Where someone is found not to meet the requirement the border force officer will refuse entry."
Pfenning is believed to be the nanny for the pair's daughter Olive during their stays in the U.S. The pair splits its time between London and Los Angeles.
