“Now I understand so much, my mother’s never gotten more 'I love you so much mommy' texts, I mean, randomly… ya, I get it now,” the actress said.

Mendes also said that daughter Esmeralda is still affecting her sleep schedule, though things have got better recently. “You never know, right, something random can happen and she’s just suddenly not sleeping through the night and you’re like, wait, I thought we were sleeping through the night, what’s up?!”

The 41 year old actress has also recently been named the creative director of makeup brand Circa, which will be available at Walgreen's drugstores and priced reasonably with items ranging from $8 to $15. Promoting her new role, the actress told the Huffington Post she believes wearing makeup should be above all, a fun experience.

"In a world full of who wore it best, it's important for us to remind ourselves that that’s not fun," Mendes said, adding, that she feels "the whole part of doing makeup is to have fun and celebrate ourselves."

For Eva, the best thing to do is just whatever feels right for you, without worrying about what others think. "If I want to do a heavy eye, with a heavy lip and some serious contour then that's what I’m going to do and not worry about being judged for that," the actress said.
