Russell Crowe predicts Henry Cavill will have a super year after 'Man of Steel' is released.

The actor - who plays Superman's biological father, Jor-El, in the Zack Snyder reboot - believes leading man Henry will become one of the biggest stars on the planet once people see how great he is as the DC Comics character. He wrote on Twitter: ''Just contemplating how massive the change in life young Henry Cavill is about to deal with. @ManofSteelMovie is excellent. (sic)''

The 'Les Miserables' star is excited at the prospect of the film hitting cinemas worldwide before the US and its potential to reach so many superhero fans.

Russell added: ''So Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Phillipines, Korea, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Puerto Rico get @ManofSteelMovie b4 USA gets it June 14th (sic)

Exercise-mad Russell has been preparing for the film's global press tour and is frustrated he hasn't been pushing his gruelling daily fitness plan to the max.

He posted: ''4km walk...I know...not enough...busy getting things sorted so I can travel for @ManofSteelMovie without wheels falling off while I'm away. (sic)''

The 49-year-old star has been very enthusiastic about the movie since it wrapped since he had a blast filming with the all-star cast.

He enthused: ''Some of the things I liked about @ManofSteelMovie , Henry Cavil, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, what a cast! (sic)''
