Russell Brand says he feels ''honoured'' and privileged to be with fiancee Katy Perry because they have so much in common.
The British comedian is set to wed the 'Teenage Dream' singer next month after dating for just over a year and Russell can't believe he met someone he has so much in Common with.
Russell - who was once famed for his womanising ways - said: "She doesn't have to control me. I have nothing to hide. I have nothing to give you except love and joy! It's an honour to have found someone that I care about so much, it's just not an issue. I just want to be with her,
"We have an incredibly ordinary relationship and take the p**s out of each other."
Although the couple spend quite a lot of time apart because of their busy careers, Russell says they take every opportunity they can to be with each other.
He told the Sunday Times Culture magazine: "We see each other as much as we can and it's sort of enough. Sort of."
Russell and Katy met at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and the 35-year-old funnyman admits it was love at first sight.
He said: "It was like a Collision with God, as in, 'Oh my God, there is love, there is nothing but love, in the same way that saying goodbye is a foreshadowing of death. because, oh my God, one day, I'll say goodbye to everything. In the same way that falling in love is a precedent to beauty and birth, and we are all beautiful and all of us have a capacity to love another."
