Funnywoman Ruby Wax has axed two controversial Christmas concerts at a psychiatric hospital - after it emerged one of Britain's worst child killers would have been in the audience.
The U.S. comedienne planned to play the shows at Rampton Secure Hospital in Nottinghamshire, England later this month (Dec10) as part of the facility's festive entertainment.
The gigs hit headlines in the U.K. earlier this week (begs29Nov10) when it emerged patients due to attend included notorious "Angel of Death" Beverley Allitt, a former nurse who murdered four children and injured nine others while working on a hospital ward in 1991.
Wax, who suffers from bipolar disorder and is a high-profile campaigner on mental health issues, has now cancelled the shows due to "personal reasons", according to British newspaper The Sun.
