A Week In News: Met Gala Glamour, Metal At Glastonbury, Meet 'Tammy' Comedy Giggles

Rihanna Met Gala 2014

Met Gala: This year's Met Gala was even more extravagant than ever before as the biggest names in showbiz arrived in New York clad in "decorations" and finery. Anna Wintour's bash served up some true style winners, particularly the couples (Hello there Beckhams) as well as some shockingly badly dressed individuals (Looking at you, Rita Ora). Read our pictures round-up of the stand-out moments in fashion. And find out why Kendall Jenner's glamorous attire may have just won her a coveted new role.

Glasto Metal!: Metallica have been announced as the final headliner for this year's Glastonbury Festival. Read all about the announcement and reactions. Slicing through the synth pop and folk ubiquity, James Hetfield and his band of rockers will be bringing a hit-packed show to Worthy Farm and will be joining Arcade Fire and Kasabian at the June event. Get up to date on their back catalogue here.

Eminem Wembley: Eminem is about to celebrate being the first solo rapper to headline a Wembley arena concert when he plays in July. Sure to be a sell-out, the one-off show was booked as an alternative to playing British Summer Time at Hyde Park after Eminem was reportedly rejected from the royal event. The 'Just Lose It' star will be playing hits old and new and celebrating the chart-topping release of his eighth studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, with his first London show in 13 years. Turn it up and get in the mood by clicking here.

Seth Rogen

American Comedy: Seth Rogen emerged as one of the main winners at the American Comedy Awards where the actor and filmmaker celebrated a double win for his film This Is The End. Find out about the other winners here. Will Ferrell and Melissa McCarthy picked up awards for Comedy Actor and Actress in a film respectively whilst The Colbert Report and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart tied for the Late Night Talk Show prize.

Jackman's Cancer: Hugh Jackman just can't seem to shake himself of skin cancer. The 45 year-old Les Misérables star has been treated for cancer again, having undergone surgery to procedure to remove a Basel Cell Carsinoma from his nose after a similar op last year. The Australian actor has issued a plea for his fans to "wear sunscreen" to protect themselves from the damaging rays of the sun. Read the full story here.

Gambling Affleck-Tion: Believe it or not but Oscar-winning filmmaker and actor Ben Affleck is also a dab-hand at gambling and has celebrated some serious wins over the years for his master Blackjack skills. The Argo star's success caught up with him this week when he was allegedly ejected from a Las Vegas casino under suspicion of card-counting. Read the full story here. Affleck, who is about to begin filming as Batman, has also just announced that he and Matt Damon will be reviving reality TV show Project Greenlight in the near future. Find out more.

Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour London 2014

Miley London: Miley Cyrus has finally overcome her illness to arrive in the UK where she'll be touring the country on her Bangerz tour. The pop star kicked off the British leg of her controversial world tour in London this week and refused to tone down her raunchy routines. See snaps from the opening night. She has also been forced to defend against accusations that her fortnight's stay in hospital was a result of a drugs overdose. Read her explanation here.

Video Of The Week - 'Tammy' Trailer: What is it about Melissa McCarthy that's so darn hilarious? Her new comedy Tammy sees the actress play the titular loveable antihero in a movie written by the Bridesmaids star and directed by her husband, Ben Falcone. The trailer, which you can watch here, shows plenty of the movie's hilarity as the would-be criminal Tammy robs a fast food restaurant, goes on the run and tries to return her plunder. Check out full details here.
