The Academy Awards drew its biggest TV audience in more than a decade on Sunday night, as the Oscars were shared by a variety of hit films and performances. Ellen Degeneres hosted the ceremony, giving the night a populist touch by serving pizza to the A-listers and taking a star-packed selfie that managed to crash Twitter.

As for the winners, 12 Years a Slave won three top prizes - for best film, screenplay and supporting actress - while the blockbuster Gravity took home seven awards. There were also popular wins for Matthew Mcconaughey, Cate Blanchett, Jared Leto and the animated film Frozen. Moving right along, Wes Anderson premiered his new star-studded adventure-comedy The Grand Budapest Hotel this week in New York, joined on the red carpet by cast members including Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan, Willem Dafoe and newcomer Tony Revolori. Transformers: Age of Extinction

The big new trailer this week is for the sequel/reboot Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fourth in Michael Bay's robots from space saga. With an all-new cast including Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz,Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer, the film is another must-see over-sized action blockbuster. A new trailer for the documentary Our Vinyl Weighs a Ton promises never-before-seen interviews and performances from artists including Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and Common. Made as a Kickstarter project, the film traces the story of indie R&B label Stone Throw Records and its founder DJ Peanut Butter Wolf. We also had our first teaser for Paddington, a live-action movie about the iconic bear who travels to London from the jungles of Peru. The film stars Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent and Peter Capaldi, with Colin Firth providing Paddington's voice. And we don't have a trailer yet for the drama Still Alice, but photos are emerging from the set. Julianne Moore, Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth and Alec Baldwin are shooting the film on location in New York with directors Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland (Quinceanera).
