ROSIE O'DONNELL has split from her wife, and is to quit her role on U.S. Tv show The View to concentrate on her family.

The comedienne has announced she is leaving the series after returning as a co-host just six months ago following a seven-year break, and insists she wants to spend more time with her kids after separating from partner Michelle Rounds in November (14).

A statement from O'Donnell's publicist reads, "I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November. Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View. Next week will be her last."

O'Donnell married Rounds, her second wife, in June 2012, and the following year (13) they adopted a baby girl, Dakota. She also has an adopted son Parker, and three children with her former partner Kelli Carpenter.
