Rose McGowan has pulled out of her scheduled appearance at Thursday's Tallgrass Film Festival, and from all scheduled public appearances in the immediate future.
Rose McGowan has decided to cancel all public appearances for the immediate future following her efforts in bringing about public awareness of sexual abuse in Hollywood in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
The 44 year old actress-turned-director, who was expected to be honoured with the Ad Astra Award at the Tallgrass Film Festival in Wichita on Thursday night (October 19th) and also host a screening of her directorial debut Dawn, rescinded the festival’s invitation less than 24 hours before the big night.

McGowan had accused Affleck of lying about his level of knowledge about disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein's past behaviour.
Rose McGowan has had her Twitter account temporarily suspended, a matter of hours after calling out Ben Affleck over his level of knowledge about the disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and his history of sexual misconduct.
44 year old McGowan, a former star of TV series ‘Charmed’, has been one of the most vocal critics of Weinstein and the surrounding Hollywood scandal since the New York Times first broke the story last week. She’s been using Twitter to express solidarity with women who have come forward, and has attacked those she regards as having been complicit in the cover-up of the allegations that span back decades.
Earlier on Wednesday (October 11th), she had tweeted “F*** off” to Affleck and accused him of lying about his level of knowledge about Weinstein’s mis-deeds.

McGowan has penned a powerful letter to Doherty, the actress she replaced on ‘Charmed’.
Rose McGowan has reached out Shannen Doherty, as the actress bravely battles breast cancer. In a letter to Doherty shared on Instagram, McGowan called out Hollywood for its sexism, which had seen the actress’ painted as enemies for many years.
The poster features Lawrence’s character Mystique being choked by villain Apocalypse (played by Oscar Isaac).
Former ‘Charmed’ actress Rose McGowan has voiced her concerns over a billboard promoting movie X-Men: Apocalypse which shows Jennifer Lawrence’s character Mystique in a chokehold. The image has already sparked outrage on social media and in New York one poster was covered in sticky notes which read: "This violence in my kid's face is not OK.”
Rose McGowan has criticised the X-Men: Apocalypse movie poster.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, McGowan said: "There is a major problem when the men and women at 20th Century Fox think casual violence against women is the way to market a film. There is no context in the ad, just a woman getting strangled.”
McGowan recently decided to quit acting and pursue a career as a director because she was sick of superhero movies.
Actress-turned-director Rose McGowan has said that she’s become disillusioned with the industry and has decided to quit acting because of the “boring” current trend for superhero movies.
The former ‘Charmed’ star made headlines earlier in 2015 when she slammed a casting call made for an Adam Sandler movie because of sexism. The 42 year old year old has now taken to Instagram this week to bemoan the current state of Hollywood and its reliance on what she sees as “green goblins and tight outfits”.

Kim Kardashian has confirmed that her ex-husband Kris Humphries is accusing her of fraudulently marrying him, though vehemently denies the allegations. Though the pair's divorce has been dragging on for months, Kim publically spoke about the specific accusations during an radio interview on Sway in the Morning on Wednesday (January 16, 2013).
It's been more than a year since Kim filed to dissolve her marriage from New Jersey Nets star Humphries, just 72 days after their lavish nuptials in Montecito, California. "[The marriage] is going on its second year, and that's really tough because I want to move on. I really want to move on with my life," said Kim, who is expecting her first child with new boyfriend Kanye West. "He's suing me for an annulment. He's claiming that I [committed fraud]. Who would ever do that? It's just not who I am. All those fake and fraud rumors got started because of that, and we have to deal with that and handle that," explained the reality star, who was appearing on the radio show with sister Kourtney.
Kardashian - who claims to have been in love with Humphries - suggests staying married to him for the sake of public opinion would have been the real fraud. "I would have rather ended it when I felt that way, than waste a year of my life not being happy. But for him, too. I knew the whole world was going to bash me. I knew that. I said to myself, 'What's more important? My life and my happiness, or what the whole world thinks of me?" With pit-bull celebrity attorney Laura Wasser on her side, it's likely that Kardashian will be smiling come the conclusion of the high profile lawsuit.

The fashionistas were out in force for the annual Charity Meets Fashion event in New York City, with singer Vanessa Hudgens, model Jessica White, actress Mariam Kinkladze, as well as Sasha Cohen and Rose McGowan having the stand out looks of the evening. Hudgens made her name as one of the stars of High School Musical, but boy did she look grown up last night (December 17, 2012) as she turned up wearing a gorgeous black embroidered dress and jacket combo, her bottom half having a rock look with big platforms and patterned tights; the whole thing really complimented her naturally dark features.

In a recent TV interview, Tarantino said he and Rodriguez had always wished those low-budget flicks were as good as their posters -- and they set out to achieve that, decades after the movies' heyday. With an obvious passion for the genre, the pair has recreated the experience of being at some cheap Texas drive-in with two features, fake coming attractions, missing reels, local ads, and announcements from theater management. Even if you don't catch on to everything, just watching the package is a complete thrill.

David Arquette's escaped-lunitic-on-a-double-espresso style of nitwit comedy is an aquired taste. Or at least I assume it is since I don't find him funny but movie directors continue to cast him and AT&T saw fit to make them their collect-calling spokesman.
He's a one-note Jim Carrey wannabe with a Jerry Lewis IQ and two facial expressions: Half-asleep stoner and vein-popping screaming mimi. He's also a front-runner for Least Convincing Actor Alive, as he frequently seems to be looking desperately toward the camera for approval of over-the-top his antics.
David Arquette is also the star of "Ready To Rumble," a slow-pitch comedy about professional wrestling fans, seemingly made for some niche market of moviegoers that find Pauly Shore pictures too intellectually taxing.
