Rosario Dawson bought a house in the Red Light district of London to "feel at home".

The 'Sin City' star revealed she chose to purchase a property in the King's Cross area of the British capital, a notorious hang-out for hookers, because being around prostitutes reminds her of her youth.

Rosario - who grew up in a New York squat - joked: "I bought a place in King's Cross in London. You know - where the hookers are. Feels more like home."

The 31-year-old actress - who was discovered on her front porch at the age of 15 by controversial 'Kids' director Harmony Korine - admitted while being around New York's poor and destitute could have damaged her as a person, it actually helped her "navigate life".

Rosario added: "Living there was good for me. It made me able to navigate life, made me open to challenges and Diversity. If you can make it in New York, you really can make it anywhere."
