A British festival set to feature performances by reggae icon LEE 'SCRATCH' PERRY, rapper Roots Manuva and dubstep stars Dub Pistols has been cancelled.
The Golden Down Festival was to take place in Hampshire, England from 15 to 17 June (12), but it has now become the latest outdoor event to get the axe due to unforeseen circumstances.
A statement released by organisers reads: "It is with much regret that we announce the cancellation of Golden Down festival for this year.
"Unfortunately due to a number of circumstances beyond our control we have come to the realisation that we are unable to stage the festival that we had originally conceived; one that would meet the high expectations of both artists and audience."
The British music scene has suffered a number of festival cancellations in recent months - events including Sonisphere, Cloud 9 and Harvest have all been scrapped due to poor ticket sales.
