Ronnie Wood has credited Damien Hirst with helping him win his booze battle, after the British artist staged an intervention and "whisked" the rocker away to focus on his recovery.
The Rolling Stones star has long struggled with alcohol addiction but he has been sober for more than 18 months - and he's convinced Hirst was his saviour.
He tells Britain's Daily Star, "I've blown millions of pounds on booze and drugs in the past, but Damien rescued me.
"He bundled me into the back of a bread van to avoid the paparazzi and then whisked me away on his private plane. There began my life of recovery. I owe that man a lot."
