Ronnie Wood's five-week-old grandson has already seen the Rolling Stones play.

The 'Paint it Black' rocker's daughter Leah and her husband Jack MacDonald took baby Otis - who was born on May 26 - to see his band perform at their huge outdoor show at Rome's Circus Maximus recently and are hoping the tot will be proud of the meeting in years to come.

Jack said: ''If people ask him what his first gig was he'll be able to say, 'The Stones at Circus Maximus', so he wins.''

The gig also marked the first time Ronnie's ex-wife Jo has seen the group perform since she divorced the rocker in 2009, but she insists she gets on well with her former spouse.

She told the new issue of Britain's HELLO! magazine: ''I just wanted to look after Otis. I didn't want to see a show again. 'Patti, Keith [Richards'] wife, invited me because there's none of the old girl gang there any more.

''It did feel weird to go to a show but you know, Ronnie and I get on great.''

Ahead of her due date, Leah - who also has five-year-old daughter Maggie with Jack - had been to see her dad rehearse and his bandmate did his best to help her pregnancy move along.

She explained: ''Keith said, 'Sit on the bass speaker' and make Darryl [Jones] play and it'll come out. Get some towels and hot water ready.' ''
