Pictures of Ronan Keating in public for the first time since he admitted that his marriage was over have emerged into the public eye, and though the star is putting on his best face there's no denying that he was cutting a forlorn figure as he attended a charity event with Boyzone band mate Keith Duffy in Dublin. Keating admitted that reports that he and his wife of 14 years Yvonne Connelly had split late last year were true yesterday, and it was certainly no April fool's as he took to Twitter to write "Sadly our news is true. Thank u all for your support. Yvonne and I still love and care for each other and want to protect our kids. X"
The UK's Daily Mirror showed snaps of the star looking tired and sad, despite the brightness of his white cardigan and white trousers, as he arrived at the Irish Autism Action's Coffee Morning as part of World Autism Awareness Day in Dublin. Nevertheless he smiled and put on a brave face with old friend Duffy.
The marriage had allegedly been on the rocks since 2010 but they'd tried to reconcile for the sake of their kids Jack, Marie and Ali. The will remain in Ireland for their sakes however, despite reports linking him with a move to Australia. "I hear some papers are saying I plan on moving to Oz," he wrote on Twitter, adding "great country but my kids live in Ireland and so will I. X."
