Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has reassured worried fans that he will be well enough to perform in Britain this weekend (23AUG03).

The BROWN SUGAR singer had to pull out of scheduled concerts in Amsterdam, Holland, this week (ends22AUG03) due to a sore throat - causing fans in his native country to worry that the 60-year-old may not be able to appear at TWICKENHAM STADIUM in London.

But in a statement, the rocker says, "I will be suitably recharged, recovered and fit for Saturday's kick-off of the UK dates at Twickenham stadium in our home town."
