PETER O'TOOLE was so stunned by his latest movie VENUS when he saw it for the first time at the London Film Festival last week (ends20OCT06) he hugged director Roger Michell and sobbed his praise for the movie-maker. The actor attended a reception for the acclaimed new movie at London's National Gallery, where one of the film's key scenes was shot. And O'Toole wasted no time in telling Michell just how much he liked the end result. The actor's upbeat demeanour thrilled fans at the reception as it marked O'Toole's first public appearance since he cancelled all commitments at the Toronto Film Festival, Canada in September (06), blaming an attack of "gastric nasties".
