Roger Daltrey constantly finds inspiration in his UK charity the Teenage Cancer Trust, because he can already see the results of his tireless work during his own lifetime.

The Who frontman re-recorded his anthemic 1965 hit My Generation yesterday (04SEP05) with British boyband McFly in aid of the charity, as well as to launch music store HMV's UK download website, and he intends to continue campaigning for as long as possible.

He says, "I like it because it's something that needs to be done and I can finish it in my lifetime.

"I've been doing charity events all my life, but you very rarely see a result of your work.

"With this charity I manage to see results. It's incredibly rewarding, seeing hospitals being built. They just have to be maintained."
