The sportsman, real name Roderick George Toombs, passed away in July (15) at the age of 61, and his death certificate, obtained by TMZ.com, shows Piper was battling hypertension, or abnormally high blood pressure, and he died after suffering a heart attack caused by a blood clot.

Piper was a professional wrestler for 45 years and was one of the biggest stars in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) organisation.
