Pop, rock and soul legends Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne and James Brown will delight fans by singing at a free concert this month (26JUN04) to celebrate the Olympic Torch's return to London.

Pop stars Kelly Osbourne, Jamelia, McFly, Will Young and Emma Bunton will also take the stage on the capital's The Mall - while athletes Sally Gunnell, Tim Henman and SIR IAN BOTHAM will be among the torchbearers to celebrate the first time the torch has been in England since London hosted the OLYMPIC GAMES in 1948.

A representative of the event's organisers the BRITISH OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION says, "The race is on for the 70,000 tickets which will be allocated by ballot by telephone or online. There will be more than 140 torchbearers carrying the Olympic flame past some of London's most famous landmarks.

"Hopefully it will help showcase London's bid to host the 2012 games. We're really excited."
