Rod Stewart is colour blind.
The 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' singer is famous for wearing bright, eye-catching clothes and polka dot scarves throughout his career and his daughter Kimberly Stewart has now revealed his garish signature style is due to the condition which makes it difficult for a person to distinguish between certain colours such as blue, yellow, red and green.
Kimberly, revealed: ''Well, my dad is colour blind, so he puts extremely bright colours together. The house I grew up in was bright pink. It wasn't normal. When people drove past they would be like, 'Oh my God!' His house now is orange and blue. It's very punchy. But everything else style wise, is totally on point. I cannot say that anything he does or has ever done is bad, because he created his own style and took risks and I think that's pretty cool.''
Kimberly - who has a three-year-old daughter, Delilah, with former lover, actor Benicio Del Toro - quipped that her because of her 70-year-old dad's visual impediment he shouldn't be able to take credit for his unique dress sense.
The 35-year-old blonde told The Sunday Times Style magazine: ''He doesn't actually recognise the colour situation, so it's not as if he actually knows that he's taking a risk.''
