Producers behind one of Robin Williams' final films have confirmed the actor finished work on the project prior to his death earlier this month (Aug14).

The Hollywood star was rumoured to have left his role in Absolutely Anything incomplete at the time of his suicide, and the film's lead Simon Pegg suggested movie bosses might have to cut his part out if it hadn't been finished.

However, producers Bill Jones and Ben Timlett have now assured fans Williams recorded his voice part of Dennis the Dog in full.

A statement from the pair reads, "Contrary to reports, we are able to confirm that Robin Williams completed his voice work recording for the role of Dennis. Everyone on the Absolutely Anything team was distraught to hear the sad news and we send our condolences to Robin's family."

Absolutely Anything is due for release in 2015.
