The former Led Zeppelin star sat in the audience throughout the fundraising concert in Ledbury in England until headliner Deborah Rose invited him onstage for a duet and the pair crooned Love Hurts by Roy Orbison.

Plant later posed for photographs with members of the audience.

Fundraising organiser Jan Long says, "We were all mesmerised by this rock star in little old Ledbury... There were even empty seats in the theatre. Now people will be kicking themselves they were not there. It was all so unexpected and just lovely."

The concert, held over the weekend (04-05Apr15), raised $1,600 (£1,000) for a children's hospice.
