Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders have had more than their fair share of the stage when it's come to explaining away the events of their affair that was made public last month, now Robert Pattinson is finally having say, sort of. After weeks without a word to the press, the British actor appeared on 'The Daily Show' with Jon Stewart, and though he touched upon the break-up of his relationship, he didn't mention his ex-girlfriend by name.
ABC reports that Stewart, being Stewart, offered Pattinson a light-hearted environment in which he could open up on his show, offering him a tub of Ben and Jerry's ice cream to eat from and joking that they were "just two gals catching up". Commenting on the break-up, Pattinson said "My biggest problem in my life is that I'm cheap, and I didn't hire a publicist."
He was more content to turn his attention to his forthcoming film 'Cosmopolis,' though, and joked "If any 'Twilight' fans have tuned in, I genuinely want to make 'Cosmopolis' have a higher opening weekend than 'The Dark Knight [Rises]". He added "but the problem is, it's only opening in six cinemas. It's going to be a challenge. Just buy eight tickets." Stewart was an amiable and easy going host on Pattinson, tougher times might follow tomorrow, however, with an appearance on 'Good Morning America'.
