Robert De Niro will star in new indie comedy 'Gently Down The Stream.'
The 67-year-old actor will team up with Diane Keaton to play a divorced couple who pretend for the sake of their adopted son that they are still married on his wedding day but their antagonistic behaviour leads the plan to unravel in the Justin Zackham-directed project.
Justin said: "I'm excited to be able to continue what we started with on 'The Bucket List' - iconic actors in a funny, adult, character-driven story, albeit with a little more sex and bad behaviour on everyone's part."
Producer Avi Lerner - who has previously worked with both stars - said: "Working with Diane and De Niro again will be great. Katherine and Amanda are young talented actors. It is good casting. Justin's script is well written and he is the right choice to direct. It is going to be a warm-hearted, funny film."
Katherine Heigl and Amanda Seyfriend will also star in the film with one of them expected to play the bride.
Filming is set to begin in Connecticut in July while the movie will be called 'The Big Wedding' outside of the US.
