Robert De Niro's new thriller 'Limitless' hits cinemas in the U.S today and the actor's performance has been lauded by his co-star Abbie Cornish.
Robert De Niro is "great" in his new movie 'Limitless, according to his co-star, the Australian actress Abbie Cornish.The keenly-anticipated new movie follows the story of a writer, played by Bradley Cooper, who discovers a top-secret drug that gives him super human abilities. The film has been directed by Neil Burger and is based on the novel by Alan Gylnn. 'Limitless' has already received high praise from critics, with E! Online describing it as "an addictive thriller" that "goes down easily and creates a contact high with zippy pacing and hypnotic visuals". In a recent interview with 'Flicks and Bits', Cornish spoke of the influence that De Niro had on her own performance in the movie, saying, "Robert De Niro is someone you grow up watching on screen, you see so many of his films, and so many of his characters are so alive in your memory and imagination". When asked what it was like working with the screen legend, Cornish replied, "To work with someone who has that much experience, that much wisdom about what they do is really a privilege, and even though we don't have any scene's together I was lucky enough to do the read through, he's great in this film".
Robert De Niro is currently filming the movies 'Another Bullshit Night in Suck City' and 'New Year's Eve', both of which are set for release later this year. He will also star alongside Cillian Murphy in the 2012 thriller 'Red Lights', about a psychologist who studies paranormal activity.
