Robert De Niro is producing a film based on the life of rapper Missy Elliott. The Oscar-winning actor's New York City-based Tribeca Films has snapped up the rights to the film, along with Elliott's manager, MONA SCOTT. The 34-year-old rapper will be working with her manager and writer DIANNE HUSTON to help create the script. Elliott began her musical career with the girl group SISTA before branching out into solo projects and producing.
