LATEST: A man claiming to be the illegitimate son of late British royal PRINCESS MARGARET appeared in court yesterday (24OCT06) in his bid to prove he is 12th in line to the throne Robert Brown, 51, believes he is the son of Queen Elizabeth II's sister Margaret, who died in 2002 aged 71 He appeared at a private hearing in the Family Division of the High Court in London, in which Judge PHILIP WALLER ordered the wills of Margaret and her late mother QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER to be made available Brown said afterwards, "I can categorically state (my claim) has not been dismissed by the judge and is still ongoing " However, under British law Brown's claim is academic as illegitimacy rules out joining the line of succession to the throne
