Actor Robert Blake has opened the door to his apartment for a shocking new Tv expose, in which he confesses he's "committable" by most people's standards, but he thinks the world is mad.
The former Baretta star agreed to sit down for a no-holds-barred chat with U.S. Tv self-help guru Dr. Phil MCGraw, and as part of the interview, which airs on Thursday (20Sep12), he agreed to show a film crew around his home.
The most shocking moment of the Tv special comes as Blake, who was acquitted of killing his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley in 2005 but found liable for her wrongful death in a civil trial, shows off a white board with his life mantras and reminders to live well.
He says, "This wall was just part of keeping myself sane. This is to remind me not to kill myself."
And he reads a segment: "God gave me a do over. No home. No friends. No money. No family. No wife. No kids. Nothing."
Blake tells Dr. Phil admits he still lives a very lonely existence: "Let's say I don't know anybody by their first name."
