Actor Robert Blake returned to court yesterday morning (10JUL03) where he was given more good news about his murder trial - he has another delay.

The BARETTA star, who stands accused of murdering his wife BONNIE LEE BAKLEY, looked smart and healthy as he arrived at a courthouse in Van Nuys, California, where his defence team was asking for a continuance.

Court officials agreed that new evidence in the case prompted a new delay, and postponed the murder trial from October (03) to February 2004.

A happy Blake told reporters outside the courthouse that he was thrilled with all the support he has been getting.

He said, "I want to send my deep gratitude and my deepest love to all the people who sent letters while I was in isolation, who sent scripture and kept me alive by reminding me that God was in there with me.

"I'm getting healthy. I'm off of nearly all the drugs. There's still this one drug that I have to get off of."

Blake was arrested in April last year (02) and spent almost a year in jail awaiting trial. He was released on $1.5 million (GBP938,000) in March (03).
