Pop superstar Robbie Williams' comeback song has shot straight to the top of the UK singles chart.

RADIO, the 30-year-old's first single in his homeland for two years, has knocked last week's (03OCT04) number one, Eric Prydz's CALL ON ME, down to number two.

RACHEL STEVENS' MORE MORE MORE and KHIA's MY NECK MY BACK (LICK IT) are new entries at numbers three and four respectively, while pop legends DURAN DURAN go straight in at number five with (REACH UP FOR THE) SUNRISE.

In the British album charts, veteran rockers REM's latest effort, AROUND The Sun, is a new entry at number one, displacing soul singer Joss Stone's MIND BODY + SOUL disc down to number two.

American punks Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT moves down a place to number three, as does MAROON 5's SONGS ABOUT JANE to number four.

Eponymous album Tom Jones + Jools Holland remains in fifth place for a second week.
