Robbie Williams' attempts to conquer the American charts are failing fast - he had the worst-selling album in America last week (begs14APR03).

The British minstrel had gone on a charm offensive to persuade Americans to buy his records, but the US version of his hit album ESCAPOLOGY - called FEEL - only managed to scrape in the Billboard charts at number 43 on its first week of release.

Now the LP has slumped an astounding 61 places to 104th place selling only 10,300 copies last week (ends20APR03).

In contrast, fellow Brit Daniel Bedingfield has sold an impressive 250,000 copies of his debut album GOTTA GET THRU THIS in the States.
